Description
This is some where back from the Milford Sounds in New Zealand it's called Death Lake. I had some comments about the fact that the photo's are sometimes not sharp enough. I think it's because I used mostly 400ASA films so you don't get a fine grain does any one have comments on that please let me know. For now just enjoy the photoMarc Niels

Well things I've noticed about lack of detail in photos I've uploaded is;
{firstly since you mention using 400 ASA I assume you are not using digital camera}..
1]the higher the ASA you will have grain which in a distance shot can lead to softness and lack of detail by the time you upload it here. {but}
2] photos printed on matt paper {ie with a raised or textured surface} tend to be worse with this problem....gloss paper is much better and looses less detail when uploaded.
3} when scanning in printed photos I have found using a dpi of 200+ has better results. You might need to do some experimenting with your scanner as they all seem to work differently.
4] If adding borders.....figure out how much border you want, say 5 all round.
Resize your photo to 630 then add the border. Do not do it the other way round as you will loose detail. {well that is my experience}. But experimenting is the best way as most systems are different.
